“I have seen from my window
the fiesta of sunset in the distant mountain tops.”
~from “Clenched Soul” by Pablo Neruda

“‘Tis not too late to seek a newer world.
Push off, and sitting well in order smite
The sounding furrows; for my purpose holds
To sail beyond the sunset, and the baths
Of all the western stars, until I die.”
~from “Ulysses” by Alfred Tennyson

Gorgeous and I love that Neruda quote, “fiesta of sunset” is absolutely right.
Thanks, Paul. Love “fiesta of sunset”, too. The sky made me think of a Monet painting.
Super photo’s, KS. Love the poetry for them, too.
Super hugs, too,
D
Purrrrrrty.
Lovely. Thank you.
Dorothy, Susan and Leah — glad you enjoyed! That was the most gorgeous sky I’ve seen in quite a while.
Beautiful pictures and words. Loved the images of flowers in the previous post too. And many congrats on the publicity and continued success of Mirror Blue. Snakes are so fascinating. It’s nice to see you guys being so knowledgeable and brave in handling and relocating them. And it was very nice of you to relocate the tadpoles to the pond too. Great work
All the best to Ballicai!!
Hi, Ailurophile!
As always, great to see you. Thank you very much for your kind words, and I’m glad you enjoyed the pictures. It’s amazing, how many flowers we’re seeing in the woods that we didn’t see last year — we’re getting a lot more rain this year. And we hope the snakes and the tads will be happy in their new homes.
Take care — hugs from me, and purrs from the Ballicai!
Just beautiful. Hey – guess what I got? …hmm?…
Thanks, Julia! And I’m thinking you have a copy of Mirror Blue — yippee skippy!
Such a soothing palette of color….gorgeous!
Thanks so much, Beth — glad you enjoyed. It was one of the prettiest skies I’ve seen in a long time.
what perfect words for your gorgeous, vivid sight to behold!
Thanks for sharing-
I was gonna comment a “bye-bye baby froggies” (sigh)
below, but the comment window wouldn’t load…
You’re welcome, SnaggleTooth!
And hmm, I’ll check out what’s going on with the comment window for the baby froggie post.
I think I could eat that sky.
*grin*, Jannie! It does look scrumptious, doesn’t it? Like purple-tinted cotton candy.
