Where is TL?

Buried in these…

and these…

and last but not least, these…

Hundreds of tomatoes, turned into sauce and/or canned (usually) before they take over my counter space, and countless green beans, blanched then frozen, or canned.

And lest I forget, the squash monsters — huge yellow squash and zucchini, peppers of all varieties, cucumbers, and we even got some broccoli before the plants inexplicably rotted.  Our lettuce didn’t do well.  But oh, to the tomatoes and green beans, there have been no end.

So there you have it — why the tumbleweeds are getting so big here on TN Text Wrestling.  But please do drop in on my other blog, Grace Notes.  I’m managing to post a poem or a story there roughly once a week for Three Word Wednesday.

And I’m happy to report that work is progressing on Heart’s Chalice, my novel-in-progress, though I’m having to be careful that tomatoes and green beans don’t sneak into the plot in inopportune places.

Okeydokey — onward with the harvest!

Yes, one must be careful lest the veggies take over one’s life.
Everything looks so good, TL. And good for you for attending to the comfort and needs of the tomatoes and beans.
I blanched and froze some tomatoes yesterday so the tasty harvest is just beginning here. Good news about Heart’s Chalice. I’m guessing all the veggie work is a good way to think?

I’m envious. Every year I try to grow tomatoes, but although the plants grow with enthusiasm, they never actually produce anything.

Thanks, Leah! And how wonderful that your harvest is beginning. Have fun, and happy eating! And definitely, harvest work is a good way to think. I get a lot of good ideas when I’m away from the computer, doing something completely unrelated to writing.

Hi, Ann! Argh, how weird about your tomato plants not producing. Man, I wish you lived closer — I could make sure you were up to your ears in tomatoes. ;)

Hey self-sufficient Mountain Woman! Have you cut your cords for the winter yet? And rendered your pork fat for winter tallow?? :) You got your smoke house wood chips ready for the pemmican?

    You so very much rock.

    xoxoxo

And um, I’m afraid BB most likely got to your broccoli and lettuce before you could. Sorry. He took the red-eye, stayed all day in your garden and was back here by nightfall. You know how he is when he gets an idea in his head! :)

lol, Jannie! Fixing to get started on those cords and pork fat in just a jiffy. ;) And seriously, though, you’ll get a giggle out of this — we do have a smoke house. lol

Awwww, that’s okay if BB wanted to eat the broccoli and lettuce. I’m glad he enjoyed it. He’s a good bunny.

xoxoxoxo, and you rock most magnificently, my dear friend!

Clearly your days have more hours in them than mine. It must be a Tennessee thing.

Hope you don’t over do and wear yourself out. That’s a lot to keep up with such a big garden. But they sure do look lovely. You’re doing a good job. Glad HC is coming a long so well with all that you’ve got going on.

Thanks so much, Dorothy! Yeah, I’m going to do what I can reasonably do without tuckering myself out. Gotta pace myself. Sending (((((((((((((((((((big KS hugs)))))))))))))))))))).
